My Biosketch
Inez Tuck is an author, educator, spiritual leader, life coach, and a consultant/trainer in the area of spirituality and authentic leadership. Her ministry focuses on healing individuals, families, communities, and organizations. She has taught for 32 years as a professor of nursing. Dr. Tuck has an undergraduate degree in nursing from
Inez using her health background conducts research on the benefits of spirituality on acute or chronic illness or the healing response to devastating life events. She studies the importance of forgiveness in relationships and as a way to heal personal hurts. She has been a co-investigator in a National Institutes of Health (NIH) funded study implementing spirituality as a complementary health intervention with persons living with HIV/AIDS. She is currently studying spirituality with persons with terminal cancer and families experiencing a homicidal death of a family member. She is a co-investigator in a study funded by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) for women newly diagnosed with breast cancer. She strives to promote health and healing for persons struggling with life's challenges.
In her ministry of Positive Outreach, she consults, trains and coaches others to reach their full spiritual potential. She writes from her experiences on the topics of spirituality, healing, and forgiveness. She offers seminars and retreats for individuals and small groups, churches, community agencies, universities and businesses. She is the author of two books on the topic of forgiveness, To Err is Human. A Collection of Forgiveness Readings, and A Path to Forgiveness, and has written numerous scientific articles. In order to provide more compassionate care to persons with terminal illnesses, Inez recently completed the ELNEC train-the-trainer course. She serves as a contemplative worship leader, a Lay Eucharistic Minister, and leads Taizè services. She seeks solace to have conversations with God. She is the parent of four adult children who live in nearby states. Her personal interests includes contemplation and daily meditation, reading self-help books, painting, and poetry writing. She has a strong commitment to her spiritual growth and faith. She loves nature and is inspired by water. She spends as much time as possible at the beach or at the “Rivah” retreat cottage, Tuckaway.
